I’m 14 And Completely Flat Chested! Should I Be Worried?

I’m 14 and a half and I’m still almost completely flat chested, and obviously don’t have my period yet. I do have pubic hair, but I am still worried and embarrassed about my body all the time.
I know my mum didn’t get her period till she was 15, but I don’t know how to talk to her about this to ask when she got proper boobs or if I should be worried. Should I be? please help!

I was a late developer too! So I totally understand your worries. All your girl friends are getting their periods and developing boobs.
I think that since your mom started late, it is a very good chance you will start late too due to your genetics. You wont start developing your boobs until you’ve had your period, and it is perfectly normal for you to not have started yet. I was 14 1/2 when I started mine. Usually your boobs will develop into a similar size to your mother’s.
You probably want to ask her to see when she started to develop to get a good idea of what you can expect to go through. And I know that can be an awkward conversation for sure! So one way is to mention that you want to get a bra and then she may start talking about girl stuff with you. You can just say, so were you my age when you got your first bra? Then once you are on the subject you can bring up your period too.
Plus, she is your mother and will be more than happy to help guide you through this stage of your life! So give her the opportunity to share her experience with you.

I\’m 14 years old, i\’ve had my period for almost 2 years, and yet I\’m very flat chested. I\’m still a 34A, and it\’s weird because all the rest of my body is pretty womanly except for my breasts. my mom\’s breasts are quite big, and i\’m just really worried how come i still have super small boobs. it\’s been 2 years, and my boobs are still the same size – small and insignificant. yeah i have pubic hair and everything…it\’s so weird. Is there anything wrong with me?

I am going to tutn 14 in 2 months. I have public hair and armpit hair i have started to get pimples but i have a complete flat chest. My mom got her period when she was 14! Ive heard that this could all be genetically and i feel that my body is not developing, im kinda in a rush! But its embarracing being the one and only… Pkease someone help out! Thxxx
