Dear Brittney,
You are twelve and are worried that you havn’t had your period. You are not alone! Many twelve year old girls are wondering when they are going to start theirs. But the truth is, most girls don’t start their period until they are 13 or 14, sometimes even 15!
So don’t worry you are perfectly fine, you will get it in the next few years. I didn’t get mine until after I was 14 and I remember wondering if I would ever get it! It felt like all my friends were getting theirs, and I still hadn’t.
So try to be patient, and don’t compare yourself to your friends who might be getting theirs before you. It means nothing that you start early or late, it’s just that your DNA is different than your friends.
You will still develop into a woman just as they will…at your own pace and in your own time.
