What Do I Do If My Boyfriend Is Avoiding Me?

I am having some troubles with my boyfriend. I haven’t seen him for a while. He told my friend he wants to see me but he can’t and I don’t know what that means. I know that his parents like me as their son’s girlfriend but I don’t know if he’s not talking to me because he’s nervous or something?

Dear Katelyn,
You need to call him and talk to him and see what is up. There could be many reasons why he can’t see you right now and he needs to tell you why. It’s not right for him to leave you hanging, so call him up or go talk to him at school and ask him why. Stay calm and be nice when talking to him, don’t come at him like you are mad or upset. Don’t interupt or talk over him, let him talk and explain himself.
Use your best judgement to see if his answer is legit or if you feel like he is just blowing you off and trying to avoid having to break up with you. He might just have a lot on his plate and be really busy right now. So try to be understanding if there really is a good reason that he hasn’t been seeing you lately. Otherwise, if he continues blowing you off then it is time for you to move on.
