I Think I’m Pretty, But How Come I Can’t Get A Boyfriend?

I actually have three questions.. so here it goes:
1. I think I’m kind of pretty or what boys call “hot” and funny and everything but how come I still cant get a boyfriend and no guy that I like likes me back?
2. How can I get a guy to like me?
3. There was one guy that I like and he used to hug me and talk to me then all of a sudden he stopped.. do you have any idea why? What should I do?

Great questions girl!
1. Sometimes when I girl has the “full package” as you describe, being funny, pretty, and nice…guys are INTIMIDATED! They think that you are out of their league and that you wouldn’t like them back. Many guys will go for a girl that they know wont turn them down in fear of rejection. They may be fearing that you are going to reject them if they ask you out. Try being a bit more forward with the guys that you DO like and make it more obvious that you like them.
2. This might sound like a cliche, but BE YOURSELF! Guys can tell when a girl is being fake and it is such a turn off! Don’t start acting like someone your not, he will lose interest fast. Guys like a girl who is comfortable in her own skin. And when talking to a boy you like, have a pleasant and positive attitude.
Compliment him! Just like girls, boys also like to be complemented! Boys love pretty and well dressed girls. Always try to look your best when you know you will see the guy you like. And most of all be confident! Boys love a girl bursting with high self esteem.
3. There is really no way of knowing exactly why he stopped hugging you and talking to you. He may have thought you weren’t interested back or he may have started liking another girl.
Ask your friends what their perception of you is when you are around boys. Sometimes our friends see things about us that we don’t. Like if you get shy and quiet around boys or act like you don’t like them…when you are thinking that you are being friendly.
Find out how guys are perceiving you and see if you are being misinterpreted. You can try talking to this guy and being friendly with him again and see if he starts to reciprocate and be his talkative and huggy self again.
