When my first boyfriend dumped me at the beginning of this year, I took it really hard, I cried everyday. Now when I go to my new school and I like a guy, should I go for it even though I know it won’t last forever? Because high school relationships hardly last forever. At rare times yes, but hardly. So I don’t know, should I? The thing is though, don’t want to go through heartbreak all over again!

Yes you should definitely date again! Don’t let one experience ruin your dating life forever. Just because a relationship doesn’t last forever doesn’t mean it is a complete waste of time. I had several boyfriends throughout high school and I don’t regret any of them because it helped me learn more about myself and how to handle certain situations in relationships.
High school is a great time for you to learn about relationships and what you do like or don’t like in a boyfriend. By the time you are in a relationship that might end up lasting, you will have the knowledge and experience to help keep the relationship going strong. The experience of having boyfriends is really worth it…don’t let fear keep you from finding and enjoying love. Although the heartbreak part kinda sucks, it is only a temporary feeling. Trust me, it goes away! In time heartbreak fades and you will look back and see that it was overall a good experience and you’ll be glad you did it.
