Will I Ever Start My Period!?

Hi! Ok so i have some signs that I’m about to start my first period but I have not had it yet. I feel like I am the only girl I know who still hasn’t started hers.

When will I ever hit purberty? I am 14 1/2 and still don’t have it yet. Is there something wrong with me? Do you know the timeframe or any signs.

I used to anticipate having mine too! I remember hoping I would get one and thinking that any little discharge ment that I would be having it soon.

I didnt have mine until I was almost 15. I’m pretty sure it was because I was always very active and skinny so I had mine late…

Usually if you are thin you will have yours later than other girls who are heavier weights, so that could be one reason you have not had one yet.

Plus, TRUST ME,…..you are in no hurry to get it…It’s not as great as you think!

Not everyone gets there period at the same time. Who knows? If your mom got a little late you might too. It’s usually all generic. It’s perfectly fine to get your period a little later!

Hey! I was the last one out of all of my friends to get my period, and i know it feel like you’re missing out on something, to be honest, you’re not! Enjoy not having it while it lasts

I know same! I’m 14 and I only have white periods. periods for I’m always afraid that I have my real period but when I go to the “ladies room” I only see white stuff.What are white anyways?

Don’t worry- you’re completely normal. Since you’re older, expect it soon- but it depends on the person. Don’t worry now. If by 17 you still don’t have it, go see a doctor.
I know nothing I can say will dissuade you from wanting it, I was in your shoes once. But please trust me when I say- enjoy your time without it. You may feel left out, but half the girls with it are so jealous of you. No one wants to make you feel left out. Ask your friends for advice so you won’t feel left out and you will be more prepared when the awful day comes. Getting your period can be scary- dont worry. It’ll be over soon.

What you are experiencing is called “discharge.” it’s not like a period. It’s your body preparing for your period. After about 6 months, you should be expecting your period. Hope I helped
