I Like a Guy Who Has a Girlfriend…What Should I Do?

Hello Girl to Girl,
I am good friends with him and I talk to him online all of the time. I also used to be good friends with her.
Recently I told him that I really like him. He said that he likes me too. But he also said that he was confused because he has a girlfriend and it’s not like he would dump her to be with me because he loves her. But at the same time she treats him poorly and he knows it.
He said that I am an incredible person and anyone would be lucky to have me. I honestly think that him and his girlfriend are not going to stay together for much longer ( they have been dating for about 2 years, but this past summer they were apart for a bit after she cheated on him).
Should I even bother?

That is funny because I have been in a very similar predicament! I liked this guy who I have been friends with in college for about a year and he has a girlfriend he has been with forever. I don’t know as much about their relationship as you know about your crush’s relationship, but in all reality that is not my place to judge.
I respect his choice to be with her and I don’t want to mess that up if he is happy. I just am friends with him and if that is all it can be than I am happy with that.
He seems like a very genuine and honest guy which is one reason I am attracted to him and I know that I would want a man that would leave another girl he supposedly loves because that would just be a sign of insincerity on his part.
So if I were you, I would just remain friends and keep him in your life and if his relationship is as bad as you are claiming than inevitably it will not work out between the two of them.
Just leave it up to fate and don’t try to break up the relationship that could just end up being bad karma for you!
